Privacy policy

ReferralPlug is a content site. We don't run user accounts, collect form submissions or store personal information about visitors. The only data we handle is the anonymous traffic and usage analytics described below.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analyticsto understand which pages people read and which referral guides are most useful. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and records information like the pages you visit, your approximate location (country level), the type of device you're using, and how you arrived on the site. We use this in aggregate — we don't try to identify individual visitors.

You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Referral links

When you click a referral link on ReferralPlug, you're sent to the brand's own website (Octopus Energy, Monzo, Tide and so on). What happens next is governed by that brand's privacy policy, not ours. We don't see what you sign up for, what you spend, or any personal details you share with the brand.

Your rights and contact

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, request that it be deleted, or object to how it's used. Because we don't collect personal information directly, there's usually nothing for us to delete — but if you have a question or a request, email [email protected] and we'll respond as soon as we can.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on ReferralPlug are affiliate or referral links. This means we may earn a commission, bonus or reward when you sign up using one of our referral codes or links.

This never changes the reward you receive — in many cases you get exactly the same bonusas you would via the brand's own "refer a friend" scheme. We aim to only feature offers that provide fair value and are likely to be useful for people comparing options.

Brand and copyright requests

If you represent a brand or service featured on ReferralPlug, we want our coverage to be accurate and fair. Get in touch if you'd like to:

• Correct out-of-date information (reward amounts, terms, eligibility, contact details)
• Update or remove a referral link
• Raise a copyright concern about an image or piece of content
• Request a takedown of a specific claim, image or page

Email [email protected] with the page URL, the specific content involved, the change you're requesting, and your name, role and the company you represent. For urgent legal matters, mark the subject line "URGENT — Legal".

We aim to respond within five working days and to action reasonable requests promptly.
