Affordable Mobiles referral code
Heads up: Affordable Mobiles has paused its refer-a-friend scheme. We'll restore the link as soon as the cashback offer reopens.
Affordable Mobiles previously paid both the new customer and the referrer up to £60 in cash (processed by Aklamio) after the new phone contract was activated. As of May 2026 the scheme is paused (confirmed at affordablemobiles.aklamio.com). The brand still operates normally; only the cashback referral programme is on hold.

- Deals available across all major UK networks

- Strong Trustpilot score of 4.2 with thousands of positive reviews

Cons

What is Affordable Mobiles?
Affordable Mobiles is a UK phone retailer selling contracts on EE, Vodafone, Three, O2, and iD Mobile, often cheaper than going direct. Free next-day delivery. Operating for over a decade with thousands of positive reviews.

It is an authorised reseller, so the contracts themselves are the networks' own and the monthly price is the network's price. What differs is the upfront cost and any cashback attached to the deal. The reviews sit on Trustpilot (opens in new tab).
How does the Affordable Mobiles referral scheme work?
The scheme has been paused since May 2026. While it ran, buying a phone through a referral link paid up to £60 in cashback after the contract activated, with higher-value deals earning more, and the referrer was paid too.

The scheme has been paused since May 2026. While it ran, buying a phone through a referral link paid up to £60 in cashback after the contract activated, with higher-value deals earning more, and the referrer was paid too.
The cashback was processed by Aklamio rather than by Affordable Mobiles itself, and it landed after activation rather than at checkout, so it never came off the price you paid on the day.
The two mobile referrals on this site still paying are giffgaff refer a friend, which pays account credit as soon as you activate the SIM, and VOXI refer a friend, which pays a gift card after your second monthly payment.
Who is Affordable Mobiles best for?
Best for anyone buying a new phone contract who wants to compare deals across all UK networks in one place. Particularly useful for upgrades where you want a lower upfront cost than going direct to the network.

It is a comparison site with its own checkout, which is why the case holds equally for a first contract and an upgrade. With the refer-a-friend scheme paused, that price comparison is the whole of the case for using it.
How Affordable Mobiles compares to buying direct
Same monthly contract cost as going direct, but with lower upfront prices or cashback. Well reviewed on Trustpilot compared to competing retailers. Your contract is with the network (EE, Vodafone, etc.); Affordable Mobiles is the retailer only.

- Upfront cost: often lower here, and sometimes with free accessories attached
- vs Carphone Warehouse: now closed in-store, which is what left the independents carrying this end of the market
- vs Mobiles.co.uk / Fonehouse: competitive on price and well reviewed on Trustpilot (opens in new tab)
Important: all billing and support runs through the network after activation, not through Affordable Mobiles.
