Part 1
Join toob through a referral link on a 12 or 24-month home broadband contract and both you and the referrer get a £25 gift card, chosen from Amazon, Marks & Spencer, Tesco and others. There is no cap on referrals.
£25 is the smallest reward of the five broadband networks on this site, and the terms are the plainest: a home contract of 12 months or more, a different address to the referrer, and a claim you have to remember to make. toob is also the brand that made a broadband section possible here at all, because it states outright that referrers do not need to be customers. I registered on 7 August 2026, which took an email address and a full name, and re-checked the link on 8 August 2026.

Part 1

toob is a full-fibre broadband provider built around Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire towns, selling a small number of home packages on 12 and 24-month contracts rather than a wide tariff range. It is one of three UK broadband networks whose refer-a-friend scheme is open to people who are not customers, and it says so on its own page rather than leaving it to be inferred.
Or copy the referral link below:

Part 2
Anyone, whether or not they are a toob customer. toob says so twice on its own page, and registration takes an email address and a full name with no account required.
toob's wording, from its refer-a-friend page: “Not a toob customer? No problem! You don't need to be on our network to start earning. Anyone can register, share their unique link, and stack up unlimited rewards.” Its FAQ repeats it: “Anyone can be a referrer; you don't have to be a toob customer!”
That is rarer than it sounds. Of 44 UK broadband providers checked in August 2026, three were open to non-customers, and the other two were Quickline and Hyperoptic. Everything else, including Virgin Media, YouFibre and Plusnet, requires the referrer to hold an account.
Registration confirmed this in practice. I registered on 7 August 2026: an email address, a full name, and a confirmation email with the link. Nothing asked about an account or an address.
The connection must be live for 14 days before either side is eligible. The reward-selection email can take up to 30 days from install. The gift card must then be chosen within 90 days, and toob requires refer-a-friend notifications to stay on for that email to arrive.
This is the part worth reading twice, because the reward is not paid, it is claimed.
| Stage | Timing |
|---|---|
| Both sides become eligible | 14 days after the connection goes live |
| Reward-selection email sent | Allow up to 30 days from install |
| Gift card must be chosen | Within 90 days |
The notification requirement is the trap. toob states that staying subscribed to its refer-a-friend notifications is a condition of receiving the selection email. Unsubscribing from a broadband provider's marketing is an ordinary thing to do, and doing it after ordering is enough to lose a reward that has already been confirmed.
The referrer dashboard at toob.co.uk/refer shows pending referrals, which at least means the referring side can see something is in flight rather than waiting blind.
A 12 or 24-month toob home broadband contract taken by a new customer through the unique link or QR code, at a different address to the referrer. Business packages and anything shorter than 12 months do not qualify.
The exclusions are narrower than at Quickline, which requires a full 24 months, but they still catch two ordinary cases.
That last point matters if you use cashback sites. toob does not publish a rule disqualifying orders that touched a comparison site, unlike Hyperoptic, but the order still has to carry the referral attribution, and a cashback click-through immediately before checkout can overwrite it. Click the referral link last.
Friends in Portsmouth switched from Virgin Media and describe toob as a clear all-round improvement. That is their account rather than our testing, and it is the only customer report on this page.
toob has no Which? assessment and little independent coverage, so a report from people actually on the network carries more weight here than it would for a national provider.
Theirs is a Virgin Media comparison rather than a copper-line one, which makes it a different data point to Quickline's rural switchers: the previous service was already fast, and the improvement they describe is in the overall experience rather than in raw headline speed.
This is one household's view and not a review. We have not used toob. toob's Trustpilot page is linked above if you want the volume rather than a single account.
toob's network is built around Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire towns. It is a regional full-fibre network, so a postcode check is the first step and there is no national option.
The footprint is the reason most people reading this page cannot use it, and saying so early is more useful than burying it.
toob builds full fibre in and around Southampton and neighbouring Hampshire towns. Coverage grows as it builds, so an address that failed a check last year is worth re-checking.
Outside Hampshire, the other regional networks on this site are Quickline in rural Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Humber, Airband across Devon, Wales and the west, Zzoomm in market towns, and Hyperoptic in city apartment blocks. Between them they cover very different kinds of address, and almost nobody can order from more than one.
