Part 1
Get a £10 bonus when you join Quidco through a referral link. It unlocks at £5 of confirmed cashback, which you can reach across several purchases rather than one, and Quidco sets no deadline for getting there.
I joined Quidco in July 2026 and use it for things I was buying anyway. Trainline cashback has confirmed; Currys and Argos are still pending. In late July a referral bonus of £25 arrived in my account on its own, matching the amount Quidco was advertising, which is the half of this scheme most sites can only describe. Two things to know before you read anyone else's page about it. Quidco can move the referral amount whenever it likes and pays whatever was advertised on the day your friend joined, so treat every figure, including mine, as dated. And Quidco's own help centre asks you to clear your cache and cookies before clicking a referral link, which tells you how easily the tracking breaks.

Part 1

Quidco is a UK cashback site: you click through to a retailer from Quidco, buy at the retailer's normal price, and a share of the commission the retailer pays Quidco is credited back to your Quidco account. It lists over 5,000 retailers. A Basic account is free. Quidco Premium retains £1 of your cashback in any month you shop, and nothing in a month you do not, in return for up to 10% higher rates at over 4,500 retailers and up to 20% extra when you take your money out as an e-gift card.

Part 2
Quidco is a UK cashback site listing over 5,000 retailers. You click through to a retailer from Quidco, pay the retailer's normal price, and a share of the commission it pays Quidco is credited back to your account. A Basic account is free; Quidco Premium retains £1 of your cashback in any month you shop.
Cashback is not a discount, and the difference decides when you are better off with each. A voucher code cuts the price at the till. Cashback leaves the price alone and sends money back afterwards, which is why it works on purchases you were making regardless and is useless when you need the saving today.
Basic and Premium. Basic costs nothing. Premium (opens in new tab) takes £1 out of your cashback in any month you actually shop, and nothing in a month you do not, in exchange for up to 10% higher rates at over 4,500 retailers, up to 20% extra when you withdraw as an e-gift card, and no ads. I am on a free three-month Premium trial that started in July 2026, so I have not yet paid the £1.
The referral bonus is the same either way. Nothing on this page depends on which tier you pick, which is not true at TopCashback, where the referrer's cut changes with their tier.
You join through a referral link, then earn £5 of confirmed cashback from your own purchases. That releases £10 to you and £25 to the person who referred you. The £5 can come from several purchases, but gift cards, Bonus Cashback promotions and purchases with no spend do not count towards it.
"Confirmed" is the word doing the work. Cashback arrives as pending when the retailer reports the sale, then becomes confirmed weeks later once the return window closes and the retailer validates it. Only confirmed cashback counts towards the £5, so the clock on this bonus is set by the retailer's validation, not by how fast you shop.
Where each number comes from, because they are not equally solid. The £10 you get is stated publicly on the referral link's own landing page (opens in new tab), so you can check it yourself before you sign up. The £25 I get appears only inside a logged-in Quidco account. I read it on 7 August 2026, and had been paid exactly that amount a week earlier.
Both can move. Quidco's referral terms say the bonus "may increase or decrease at any time", and that you receive the amount advertised when your friend signed up from your link. So the landing page is canonical on the day you join, and any figure on any page, this one included, is a reading with a date on it. Quidco also warns that the bonus can differ between its website and its app.
The help centre (opens in new tab) is the source for the mechanism and declines to name an amount at all, pointing to the referrals page instead. That is the opposite of TopCashback, which publishes its amounts on a dated page that expires every fortnight.
There is no code to type. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, click the referral link, and join for free. Quidco asks for the cache clearance itself, because the referral is tracked by cookie and anything already sitting in your browser can take the credit instead.
Clear your cookies before you click. This is Quidco's own instruction, not our caution: "Remind your friend to clear their browser's cache and cookies before clicking your referral link. This ensures we can track their referral correctly." A brand that asks for this is telling you the attribution is fragile, and an untracked referral pays nobody, including me. It takes ten seconds and it is the single step most likely to cost you the £10.
Then the same rule applies to every purchase. Clicking through from Quidco has to be the last thing you do before you buy. A price comparison site, an email link or a browser extension firing after Quidco can take the credit for the sale, and that is the most common reason cashback fails to track.
Already a member? Your own referral link is in your account, and the bonus you earn is set by what was advertised when your friend joined, not when you sent the link.
I joined in July 2026 and have shopped through Quidco at Trainline, Currys and Argos. Trainline has confirmed; Currys and Argos are still pending. One referral paid me £25 in late July, automatically and at the advertised amount. I have not withdrawn to my bank, so I cannot vouch for the payout firsthand.
One month is not long, so here is the line between what I have watched happen and what I am taking Quidco's word for.
The referral worked, at the stated price. £25 arrived in late July without my chasing it, and it matched what Quidco was advertising in my account. That is worth spelling out because a referral bonus can fail on either side independently: the friend gets paid and the referrer does not, or the amount quietly differs from the one advertised. Neither happened.
Tracking has been reliable so far. All three purchases tracked without my raising a claim, which is the failure people complain about most. Trainline has since confirmed. Currys and Argos are pending, which at one month is normal rather than a problem.
What I have not tested. I have not withdrawn any of it. Everything above happened inside my Quidco account, and "the balance went up" is a weaker claim than "the money reached my bank". Quidco documents bank transfer, PayPal and gift cards, from £1 by bank transfer or PayPal, and I will update this page with how long a withdrawal actually took once I have made one.
Both pay a new member £10, so the sign-up bonus is a tie. Quidco's is easier to unlock: £5 of cashback against TopCashback's £10, with no deadline against TopCashback's 180 days. TopCashback lists more retailers, and it is the one I have had confirmed cashback from for longer. Open both if you shop often; they are free.
Per-retailer rates differ between the two and neither wins across the board, which is why people who take cashback seriously check both before a purchase of any size rather than picking a side once.
| Quidco | TopCashback | |
|---|---|---|
| You get | £10 | £10 |
| Threshold | £5 confirmed cashback | £10 pending cashback |
| Deadline | None stated | 180 days, August 2026 campaign |
| Retailers | Over 5,000 | Over 5,500 |
If you only want one account, open TopCashback. It lists roughly 500 more retailers, which is what decides whether the site is any use at the shop you are actually buying from, and I have had cashback confirmed there since June 2026 against one confirmed purchase here.
If your goal is specifically to clear a sign-up bonus, Quidco is the easier one. Half the cashback, no clock, and the £5 can come from several purchases. The catch is that Quidco counts confirmed cashback where TopCashback's current campaign counts pending, so Quidco asks for less money but waits for it to clear.
Our comparison of UK voucher code sites sets both against the paste-at-checkout model.
Quidco holds 4.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 130,995 reviews. The money is retailer commission on sales Quidco referred, shared with you, so the price you pay does not change. Withdrawals go to a bank account, PayPal or a retailer gift card, from £1 by bank transfer or PayPal.
The reasonable worry about any cashback site is that the money never arrives. Three things answer it here.
TopCashback offers the same three routes, so that is not the difference it looks like. What is specific to TopCashback is the bonus: its Tell-a-Friend payment can only be taken by BACS, where Quidco's £10 lands in your balance and comes out however the rest of it does. The caveat is the one in my experience section: I have watched money arrive in my Quidco account and not yet in my bank.
Part 3

| Reward type | Cashback balance, withdrawable by bank transfer, PayPal or retailer gift card |

| Time to receive | Once you have earned £5 of confirmed cashback, with no deadline stated, so it depends on how much you shop |
| Referral limit | No cap stated, though Quidco terminates accounts it finds have been multiplied to farm the bonus |
